Lottery Ticket Update

So on her way to Maryland to cash in her $1000 scratch off lottery ticket, my wife totals her car one mile away from the lottery vendor. Apparently she's fine, still on the side of the road working out the rental car and towing issues as I write this.

Too good to be true they tell ya... money does seem to be the root of all evil, time and time again.

Random Thoughts

I find it odd that everyone reporting on J.B's death this past day or so, couples their report with iconic and even mythic imagery. Show the man for what he really was - human.

I suffer from foot in mouth disease quite regularly. I can't seem to kick it. Overheard Christmas dinner at my parent's house - "Mom, remember that carpenter that single-handedly finished our entire basement last year? He just cut off four of his fingers." Ugh, true story but I certainly didn't mean for it to come out like that. Sorry Rob.

And in financial news - my wife and I usually receive a small batch of scratch off lottery tickets from my parents as stocking stuffers. It's been a running joke. This year she won $1004.00. (And all I got was this lousy t-shirt...)
